Definition
Of the activities planned to finish by the data date, how many are still open or finished later than planned.
How the app counts it
- Measured against P6's planned dates, the usual stand-in when the export doesn't carry its baseline.
- An activity counts as due if its planned finish is on or before the data date.
Thresholds, the counting basis and whether the check counts towards the score can all be changed. See settings.
Why it matters
It measures how well the programme is being delivered against its plan, independently of float or cost.
How to fix it in P6
- It isn't a data defect. Use the list to find where delivery is falling behind and why.
- Load earlier updates to see the hit rate and missed finishes by update in Trend and forecast.
