Overview
What the app does with a P6 export, and where to start.
P6 Schedule Analytics reads a Primavera P6 export, either XER or P6 XML, and analyses it the way a client, a Project Manager or a delay expert would. You don't need a P6 licence: the file is enough.
Where to start#
What happens to an upload#
- The file is parsed. Durations, lags and float are converted from P6's hours using each activity's own calendar.
- The dashboard is built: progress, earned value and earned schedule, S-curves, float and resources.
- The DCMA 14-point assessment and 25 diagnostic checks run, each result listing the activities behind it.
- The critical path is recomputed from the logic, independently of the float P6 stored, and the app tells you if the two disagree.
Load earlier updates or a baseline alongside the file and the trend, baseline and delay and forensic modules have something to compare.
The guides#
- Schedule quality: the DCMA assessment with a page for each check, Insights and Repair XER.
- Analysis: the dashboard, earned value, the critical path, forensic analysis, schedule risk, trend and delay and NEC4 checks.
- On site: look-ahead, Progress Update and reports and exports.
- Help: troubleshooting and the glossary.
