Roles#

Activity-level access#

A user can be limited to WBS branches (a branch covers everything beneath it) or to activity-code values. It's enforced on the server, so a restricted user can't reach hidden work by calling the API directly.

Narrowing the programme cuts the logic that crosses the boundary, so a restricted user's open ends, float and critical path describe their slice, not the project. The app says so on every page it affects, rather than letting a partial answer read as a whole one. Repair XER works on the whole file, so it's closed to restricted users.

Administration#

Administrators have an Administration tab:

• Users: add and remove users, set roles and access, sign a user out, clear a lockout. Each user's sign-ins, time in the app and last 30 days of use.
• Features: switch each tab, uploads, and Excel, CSV and PNG downloads on or off for planners and viewers. The server enforces the switches.
• Health checks: the DCMA counting basis, hard-constraint list, thresholds and scored checks. See DCMA settings.
• Appearance: branding, theme, density, colour palette, date format, the tab schedules open on, and a banner shown to every user.
• Analysis defaults: thresholds, the look-ahead window and risk iterations.
• Security: how long a sign-in lasts, password length and complexity, lockout after failed attempts, the activity log, and signing everyone else out. A user can be made to choose a new password at their next sign-in.
• Activity log: sign-ins, failures, account and settings changes, uploads and repaired-file downloads, filterable and downloadable.
• System: what's stored, and deleting uploads older than a chosen age.
